Explaining division! Empty
PostSubject: Explaining division!   Explaining division! EmptyFri Mar 02, 2012 5:18 pm

Division is multiplication backwards. You are trying to see how many of a certain number can fit in another! For example: 9/3=
You are trying to see how many TIMES 3 goes into nine!

If you really wanted to, you could add threes' till you get to nine for example: 3+3=6 6+3=9
We get our answer from how many threes' we see! ^ ^ ^
There are 3 or them! So 9/3=3!

This works for any division problem, and it is fast and easy! Sooner or later, you should be able to just know the answer! If you have any questions post them in the "Posts" section in the math department! If you can't find it, feel free to post here!
